How to manage Marketplace items across Multiple Azure Stack Hub Stamps in a Single Portal?

Cloud Assert released a new capability in VConnect to manage multiple Azure Stack Hub stamps from a single portal with one-pane of glass experience considering typical operator and end-user scenarios.

In this blog, we will see one of the main challenges faced by Operators, to keep the Marketplace items synchronized across the stamps.


Having VConnect, operators can get a powerful view of all the Marketplace items that are downloaded or available across their different stamps.

If the new version is available for the downloaded image, you can see the status as update available with the latest version number to upgrade it across the stamps. This is not currently available in the Azure Stack Hub as a feature today, Cloud Assert VConnect intelligence can detect this and show it in the dashboard.

Dashboard → VConnect Resource Provider → Azure Stack Hub → Marketplace items → Select the Marketplace item

This allows you to see the versions of the same Marketplace item or product installed across various stamps. Also, it helps you to ensure the specific Marketplace item was installed with the same or updated versions in all the stamps. You can click on the sync button to download and synchronize the Marketplace item to multiple stamps at one time.

How to add multiple Marketplace items from Azure across the stamps?

Add from Azure → Select Marketplace item → Choose the stamps to initiate the downloads → Download

This enables you to select multiple marketplace items and push it to multiple stamps at a time.


Monitor the initiated job progress across the stamps in a single view:

After the completion of Marketplace item downloads, the solution enables you monitor the initiated job progress from the single Azure Stack Hub master instance portal as shown in the above image.
